I think it came out of a desire to tell more grounded, vulnerable, mortal, humble stories, as you've described, and a desire to mirror the two updates in a way that seems like they were intended as a complete whole all along. Things like positioning the Hall of Memories below the Memorial to Guthix, like a deeper level to Guthix's psyche, the naragi behind the mask, were very deliberate. Mod Rowley has a real knack for that sort of thing - very thoughtful, taking huge care about the fine details, the subtext, and their thematic overtones.

Players wanting to achieve the most experience per memory strand should continue to prestige rather than turning in extra memory strands for experience. Doing so will cost the player the same amounts of energies and strands as third prestige but give approximately 45, more experience at level 99 than a player would receive by turning in 10, memory strands or a total of almost 3 times as much experience per memory strand gathered. This method will give more experience in less time at the cost of the energies and a few minutes gathering engrams.
After completing the distraction and diversion for the first time, Orla will reward the player with 1, memory strands. Additionally, 1, can be claimed after reaching level 99 in Divination, another 1, after reaching virtual level , and the final 1, after reaching ,, Divination experience, adding up to a total of 4, memory strands.
